BaySplash is a regional lifestyle magazine published
4 times a year. It features exclusive editorial content, photography,
and a real estate section. This combination provides an extended
shelf life and pass along readership estimated to be 140,000 per
issue. BaySplash has a print run of 40,000 copies. 20,000+
copies are mailed and 19,000 are distributed by rack. BaySplash is locally owned and it is a true magazine.
The owner/publisher, editor, graphic designer, and the majority
of the contributing writers live here, know the region and live
the life. To live it is to know it.The full content of BaySplash, including all of
the ads, is available on this website. Regular features are Bay Home,
Bay Boats, Bay Folks, Bay Happenings, Bay Eats,
and Bay Neighbor. A special feature on our website is “Realtors Online” that provides a link to the advertising realtors’
websites, providing exceptional exposure.

There are 100+ drop-off sites that span the region from the
Potomac River to the York River. The sites include restaurants,
shops of all descriptions, marinas, food stores, and other high
traffic businesses. BaySplash is available at the Gateway Potomac
Visitors Center, the guest rooms at the Tides Inn, well attended
regional museums, and relocation offices. Rack distribution is maintained under contract
with Ukrops stores in Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Williamsburg.
The magazine is placed in additional high traffic businesses in
these metropolitan areas. Rack distribution is 19,000 per quarterly issue. Distribution is
staggered over 3 months to assure market coverage. There is no other local publication that distributes
and delivers like BaySplash magazine.

BaySplash is mailed to a highly targeted audience. The purchased
mailing list is the work of a highly successful real estate broker
and owner of a major real estate agency located in the Northern
Neck. The combination of knowledge of the real estate market, a
keen knowledge of marketing, and many years of living locally results
in a mailing list that is second to none. Our very aggressive targeted Metro Richmond mailing
list includes those households with an income of $80,000 and above,
head of the household age 40 and above, and home value of $350,000
and up. Richmond MLS Realtors are also included on our mailing list.The mailing list includes a highly targeted demographic
and psychographic profile of families in over 775 zip codes located
in six Mid-Atlantic states from Northern Virginia and the District
of Columbia to Connecticut. These families match the qualities
of families that are most frequently considered candidates to visit
to purchase real estate in Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay region.
Their minimum average income is $170,000 and net worth is $1.7 million
or more. Many live in the top 300 wealthiest zip codes in the selected
areas. They have a profile that indicates they enjoy water-oriented
activities and/or live on or near water.The direct mail totals more than 20,000 households
and selected businesses per quarterly issue. There is no other local publication that distributes

Ad Elements
Photos, logos, etc. should be high resolution (300 dpi). *Images saved from the Web are low resolution and are NOT suitable for print. Text files can be saved in a Word doc or sent in an E-mail message.
Acceptable File Formats for Camera-Ready Ads
TIF, PDF, JPG. All files should be CMYK, 300 dpi. Text should be converted to outlines or embedded in the file. Full page ads should have crop marks offset by at least .125”. If artwork bleeds, extend artwork by .125" around trim.
